Why did you decide to work at Kotter?

Simply put – because of one of our principles, Head + Heart. I have worked in the non-profit sector, specifically in Youth Development, for most of my career. In this space I used a lot of my “heart” to drive the work that I was doing on a day to day basis. However, I recognized that in order to truly have impact and success you also have to utilize the “head” as well. There has to be a balance of both and I believe Kotter embodies that to the fullest.

What is your personal motto?

Si vis amari, Ama which is Latin for, If you want to be loved, love.

What’s got you thinking right now?

The Career Thrivers Podcast, specifically the episode entitled Strengths Based Leadership & Living, has me thinking about how true leaders birth more leaders. Leadership is a relationship and if that concept is lost along the way then it will never work.
